The Jonathan Edwards Center is a ministry of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Located on the campus of TEDS (Deerfield, Illinois), it exists to promote and serve the conversation unfolding on Jonathan Edwards, America’s preeminent pastor, theologian, and philosopher. It has a special concern to support scholarly work on Edwards and his international influence, but will also play a role in making Edwards more accessible to pastors and church people.
The Center began its work in January 2010 under the direction of Douglas A. Sweeney. It is one of a number of satellite centers related to the original Jonathan Edwards Center at Yale University and is the only other extant center in North America. It features two major lecture series and a special online collection of research works, and seeks to be a hub for studies of Jonathan Edwards and his world for a wide-ranging constituency.
